Disposing of old tires is a big problem for Texas residents, as most roll off companies won’t accept rubber in their containers. This is because of the requirements of the local landfills. Most landfills won’t accept tires or rubber at all for a multitude of reasons, all pertaining to environmental issues. A handful of landfills will still take rubber as long as it is prepped in a certain way. But those landfills are few and far between. Therefore, the answer to your tire disposal dilemma is to RECYCLE.
So let’s get right to it. The following is a list of some recycling centers around Houston, Katy, Brookshire, Fort Bend County, Waller County and Harris County that will accept your old tires.
